First Kiss

Halfway parted lips
Trembling, awaiting a sign—
Permission granted

The Now

Instantaneous,
My core cradled in comfort--
Our stolen moment

Let this love suffice,
Encompass all that I am;
Surrendered to you.

Whisp of Summer

Butterflies flutter
Aimless scattered paths amidst
Dandilion puffs

Determination

To grasp at a gleam;
To fight those forces making
Corpses of my dreams

Nieces and Nephews

It's hard to strike a
Stentorian pose when they
Keep tickling you.

Prop 8

I weep for justice,
The mob that votes as many--
They once were the few

Zen-ku Very Much

Description defines
